How to use a MCD R cutter

From concrete to delicate wood, a MCD R cutter is a multifunctional tool that makes light work of any cutting project. If you are looking to use one, here is an easy-to-follow guide:

When you’re ready to get cutting, the type of blade you choose depends on the material you’re slicing. For example, tough materials like metal or concrete require a carbide-tipped blade, while softer material such as plastic and wood will do just fine with a standard steel blade.

With the appropriate blade secured, it’s now time to attach it to the MCD R cutter. Begin by loosening the two screws that keep the blade guard in its spot. Slide in the blade into its holder and then fasten the screws to keep it in position. All that’s left is to get cutting!

To ensure that the cut meets the desired depth, begin by loosening the adjustment knob and adjusting the position of the blade holder up or down accordingly. This will allow you to control the depth of your cut.

After aligning the MCD R cutter with the cut line of your material, use firm pressure to push it forward, beginning your cut. Make sure the blade is straight and even with the desired marking to ensure that your incision manifests accurately.

Stay true to the line. When you’re cutting, remain steady with your MCD R cutter and stick to the cut line. If you’d like a curved cut, no worries–simply tilt the MCD R cutter either to the left or right side.

Allow the MCD R cutter to perform its job. Steer clear of putting too much pressure on the MCD R cutter, as this can cause the blade to stick and impede the machine’s progress. Let the blade take control and simply guide it over the cutting line.

As the cut line trail comes to an end, it’s time to cease the action of the MCD R cutter. Loosen up your grip to bring it to a smooth finish.

Once the rotation of the MCD R cutter stops, take it from your cutting material. To avoid any built-up grime on its surface, utilize the brush that comes with it to polish the blade.

Every time you’re finished working, don’t forget to affix the blade guard to your saw blade. Doing so allows you to keep your blade looking and performing like new.

After you’ve completed using the MCD R cutter, be sure to set it away in a spot that’s protected. To guarantee optimal longevity, oiling the blade every few weeks is highly recommended if you’re not using it frequently. Storing it also lessens the risk of rust forming on the tool.
